...soo sad, but true. Monday the kids start school again. JL is going to 2nd grade, and JS into Kindergarten! I am going to miss having them around all day everyday. They are so much fun, and I love em so much!
Someday I might get a camera to post some pictures here! I'll borrow a camera for the first day of school for sure!

we'll take it...
...YAY...the preliminary they gave us is going to STICK! We went up to the hospital today and did some blood work, and then tomorrow she'll have a CT and MRI. Then 2 more MRI's on Thursday. Because a hemangioelastoma is a vascular tumor, they have to make sure that there are no more throughout her body. We are hopeful that there aren't any, but even if there are, we'll deal with that over chemo and radiation any day! I just don't think my heart could stand to watch my Mom go through that. She continues to do well and is moving around real well. She is almost back 2 good (little matchbox pun there)...I am so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed me with so many gifts, including that of having an AWESOME Mom that loves me and my little monkies. I also want to tell my siblings how much I love and care about them. They are the best, and so are my brother and sister in law! We are so grateful to have all of you in our lives. We can't do it without you!
So we will continue to move on and move up...and as for this diagnosis...WE'LL TAKE IT!

New Preliminary...
...The Dr called last night with some results. We have a new preliminary. Instead of a Glioma like they thought, they are calling it a hemangioelastoma (say that 3 times fast). It is a benign tumor and the only treatment is removal...which was so fun and done Friday...so hopefully this preliminary sticks! We should get a final today and hopefully this means no radiation or chemo! I breathed a sigh of relief yesterday, but am still guarded for today. Hopefully it all goes well, and we get our wish!
I feel like i've been on a rollercoaster ride, and hopefully it comes to a stop soon, cuz i'm gettin whiplash. I haven't slept real well in over 2 weeks, and I think i've worried myself sick (literally).
I just can't live without my Mom. I NEED her...and I am really hoping that this preliminary sticks with us.

She's HOME!!!
Hooray! Mom's oxygen levels came up today, and the Dr sent her home! We just got here, and are all settled. Can't wait to just drive a half mile to her house tomorrow and help her. Still no word from pathology, so we're not sure til probably about tomorrow night, or maybe Thursday. Still praying for the best, and ignoring the worst.
I love my Mom!!! She's the best!!!

quick update on Mom...
Mom is doing well today. Thanks to Monica, I was able to send my kids over with her and be with my Mom. THANK YOU MONICA!! The Dr said that they won't know how much treatment she is going to need, and so we are still waiting to hear more. She did not come home today, as her oxygen levels drop to about 55% when she's not hooked up. They are now worried about a blood clot in her lungs, which is hopefully not true. They did a CT on her chest, and hopefully we will hear tonight what that says. Her right leg is numb, which they said could be because she was on her right side during surgery, and that the nerve will have the feeling return soon. Other than those few 'minor' details, she is doing well. She is more awake today, and feeling less nauseated. It was nice to visit with her for awhile today. She is pretty quiet most of the time, and I think she might be a little depressed. Hopefully tonight when the Grandkids came to see her helped lift some of that depression. They love her and have worried so much, and are constantly asking me why I am crying, and then they remember Grandma is sick. She hugged all of them tonight, and JT even gave her a 'fishy kiss'. I'll update again, when I hear more...thanks for all the well wishes!

Tell the kids to be good...
Yesterday my Mom had brain surgery to remove what they thought was a cyst, but is really a tumor. It looked like what is called a minengioma which is usually a benign tumor. She went into surgery at 3:50 and we were told that she would be a couple of hours. The Neurosurgeon came to speak with us at around 8:35. Unfortunately it wasn't a minengioma like they thought. Instead, it is thought to be what is called a glioma. We don't know yet if it is very malignant or not...he said that it could very well be on either side of the spectrum. We won't know until Tuesday or Wednesday.
When I finally got to see her in ICU last night around 930 or so, she looked good. A little tired, a little pale, but good. I told her how much we love her, and how much the kids love her. She simply told me to tell them to be good, and that Grandma loves them. We are holding fast to our faith that Heavenly Father knows all, and that he loves us so much. I will keep posting new details as soon as I hear...

Crazy times...
Its been good to be in our new place. The kids love it so much! I was just thinking yesterday about how I just couldn't be happier than this.
Then my Mom called. She has a cyst on her brain and is seeing a neurologist next week. I know that it will be ok, but I can't help but be scared. I love my Mom more than anything in this world. She has always been there for me when no one else was. Always mopping the floor, dressing kids, holding my hand, chauffering me to the hospital, babysitting, laughing, crying, yelling, and being my Mom. I love her so much. My heart is heavy and I cannot stop the tears today. Hopefully I get a grip on my emotions soon, so I can go into public again. haha.
I love you, Mom.
