...so much has happend this year! I wanted to write it all down, so I could remember...so here's our list of happenings for 2009...
The BEST thing that happend to us is that we moved!!! What an amazing thing for our family. The school they go to is AWESOME...and the ward we are in is AWESOME...and the neighborhood is AWESOME...altho we miss our friends in Ogden, we couldn't be happier here.
STEVEN is finishing up school and working really hard. He is such a good Dad and husband, it's amazing. He reminds me to keep my cool most of the time and for that and so many other things, I appreciate him. Also STEVEN was working at a house in Layton and fell some 20 or so feet and injured most of himself! It was scary, but we had so many people that called and helped us out...and I wanted to say thank you to BEN for wrapping up Steve's leg and running him to the ER to get his 50+ something stitches...we feel so blessed to have the friends and the family that we do. My Mom was also available (thank goodness) to watch the kids while I met them at the hospital. THANKS MOM!!! Oh and i'm glad that my Dad didn't pass out while they were stitching him up...THANKS DAD!!!
JL turned 8! What a great year for her! She has adjusted to school and made new friends. What a blessing her good friend Lizzie has been in her life. She finally has a friend that doesn't judge her or compete with her over everything. YAY!!! They love playing basketball at recess reading, writing, and being cute little girls together.
She was baptized on October 10th, and that was a good day for everyone! Thanks to all our family and friends that came and supported us! We really appreciate all the food that was brought and the gifts that were given to her on her special day. I think she felt like she was on top of the world!!! So thank you!!!
JS turned 6 this year and has had a rough time mostly because the angels beat the red sox...lol. He is a very big red sox fan thanks so much to his UNCLE BRANDON. It has been fun to watch the two of them rooting for the bo sox. It's like Brandon finally has a little brother..haha! What a good Uncle he is!
JS started Kindergarten and is so smart. He does so well on his skill sets, and loves to play ball at recess and tag. He is still very tender hearted. He has been saving his money for a long long time. He has around $130.00 in his bottom drawer. This year for Christmas, his school was taking donations for the 'warm the soles' , and of course our sweet little guy took a ziplock bag full of money to help the kids who don't have shoes. His drawer looks pretty empty now, but my heart is full of love for my little son who is contstantly thinking of others.
Thank you to Steve's cousins Zach and Garrett for being good examples to my boys and serving missions. JS and JT pretend to be Elder Zach and Elder Garrett all the time now. We are so proud of those boys!
JT turned 3 this year and is just the life of the party. He is so funny that sometimes I think I don't have to do so many sit ups because my sides hurt all the time. He really likes transformers, and thanks to BUBBA and TRACI he got his first one...bumblebee. He was excited and so was I! We play with it all the time, and sometimes I wish I could play with it more! haha! He recently started saying things like..."Ah Dad give me a break..." and "Why are you bussin my chops?" haha! He keeps us on our toes too. The best thing for me that he did this year was POTTYTRAINED...hooray! We no longer buy diapers and wipes. We just get up and go places without packing a darn thing...haha! It's awesome!!
Our family is growing up so fast!! We are so humbled by the people in our neighborhood who have done so many good things for us. It was like we moved into a family over here! What a blessing they all are in our lives. We had only been in our home for a couple of weeks when we found out that my Mom had a brain tumor and so many people called and came over to comfort and help out as much as they could. I wouldn't ever want to go through anything like that again...but without those people I think it made it bearable. Another good thing about being here is that I am closer to my sister TIFFANY. I love her so much...she is like another Mom to my kids. She is such a good friend and a good sister! I love ya!
I am so grateful for the gospel in my life and for the Priesthood in my home. I am not perfect, this I know, but I try everyday to be a better person. I hope that I can be for someone else what good people have been for me this year. I love my family with all my heart...

EVENTFUL MONTH...
I first of all...cannot believe my little girl will be turning 8 on Friday!!! She will be getting baptized on the 10th at Noon...! I cannot believe how fast time flies. She is so much fun, and I love my sweet little JL.
JT turned 3, and was given LOTS of birthday presents (thanks everyone!!!) But I think the best gift we got was a card from B and K that said "We love you!!! Love, B and K and your cousin..." YAY!!! They are due in MAY...I can't wait, and hope all goes well this time around. We are all praying that it does. Thanks everyone also for making JT's day special...
Last Thursday my Sister and her hubby went to have their big ultrasound and found out that Steven and I are getting another Nephew in February. FINALLY...the nephews start rollin in...wahoo!!! I can't wait to hold these little ones!!! Plus i'm glad that i'm not the only one with kids anymore...THANKS GUYS!!!
Things are going well, and I just cannot tell you how happy we are out here in the country. It's so fun, and a blessing in our lives to be here...

JT is THE BIG 3!!!
Wow...I think I would rather have 10 2 year olds than 1 3 year old!! haha. I really think they're harder, but whatever! JT has been potty trained for about 6 or 7 weeks now, and can I just say...WAHOO!!! No more diapers for us. It's such a great feeling! I am so proud of my littlest man, he is such a good boy. He must get his disposition from his Dad.
I cannot believe how good people are! I have a friend from elementary school that saw my blog, and brought me a camera! yay!! Once I get batteries and a cord to upload pics, i'll be bloggin my little heart out again. THANKS DANA!!! You are the best! It was fun to see you and your little guy and catch up!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my JT! I love ya kiddo!!

I sure need a camera!!
..sometime i'll post pictures!!!
We are so busy chasing kids and getting them to school. JL is doing well. She had a rough first week being 'the new kid' and all, but she has adjusted well, and i'm so proud of her! JS is having a fabulous time in kindergarten and gets chased at recess by a few girls that are trying to kiss him. For years i've been preparing him for this..and so when they tried to kiss him he said.."NO! I only kiss my MOM!!" I was so proud...hehe. JT is adjusting well, and is still trying to get me to let him go into the school when we drop the kids off. He brings his backpack everyday also.
Steven is working hard and finishing up his last 3 credit hours to graduate in December. He is working non stop at work and then at night on a house in Layton. We sure appreciate all his hard work, and love Daddy so much.
I am staying busy at home taking care of the kids, homework, housework, ect. I am so glad to be who I am and to be so blessed with the husband and children that I have. I couldn't ask to be anything else. No degree or worldly recognition would make me feel the same way being a Mom does. I am also so glad to have the friends that I have. They mean everything to me. They love and care about me, and don't expect me to be a size zero, or have perfectly manicured nails and colored hair to be their friend. I am grateful that they are so kind and loving and see who I am on the inside and still love me.
Life is good. We continue to grow and learn everyday and we couldn't ask for anything more...

we'll take it...
...YAY...the preliminary they gave us is going to STICK! We went up to the hospital today and did some blood work, and then tomorrow she'll have a CT and MRI. Then 2 more MRI's on Thursday. Because a hemangioelastoma is a vascular tumor, they have to make sure that there are no more throughout her body. We are hopeful that there aren't any, but even if there are, we'll deal with that over chemo and radiation any day! I just don't think my heart could stand to watch my Mom go through that. She continues to do well and is moving around real well. She is almost back 2 good (little matchbox pun there)...I am so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed me with so many gifts, including that of having an AWESOME Mom that loves me and my little monkies. I also want to tell my siblings how much I love and care about them. They are the best, and so are my brother and sister in law! We are so grateful to have all of you in our lives. We can't do it without you!
So we will continue to move on and move up...and as for this diagnosis...WE'LL TAKE IT!

New Preliminary...
...The Dr called last night with some results. We have a new preliminary. Instead of a Glioma like they thought, they are calling it a hemangioelastoma (say that 3 times fast). It is a benign tumor and the only treatment is removal...which was so fun and done Friday...so hopefully this preliminary sticks! We should get a final today and hopefully this means no radiation or chemo! I breathed a sigh of relief yesterday, but am still guarded for today. Hopefully it all goes well, and we get our wish!
I feel like i've been on a rollercoaster ride, and hopefully it comes to a stop soon, cuz i'm gettin whiplash. I haven't slept real well in over 2 weeks, and I think i've worried myself sick (literally).
I just can't live without my Mom. I NEED her...and I am really hoping that this preliminary sticks with us.

She's HOME!!!
Hooray! Mom's oxygen levels came up today, and the Dr sent her home! We just got here, and are all settled. Can't wait to just drive a half mile to her house tomorrow and help her. Still no word from pathology, so we're not sure til probably about tomorrow night, or maybe Thursday. Still praying for the best, and ignoring the worst.
I love my Mom!!! She's the best!!!

quick update on Mom...
Mom is doing well today. Thanks to Monica, I was able to send my kids over with her and be with my Mom. THANK YOU MONICA!! The Dr said that they won't know how much treatment she is going to need, and so we are still waiting to hear more. She did not come home today, as her oxygen levels drop to about 55% when she's not hooked up. They are now worried about a blood clot in her lungs, which is hopefully not true. They did a CT on her chest, and hopefully we will hear tonight what that says. Her right leg is numb, which they said could be because she was on her right side during surgery, and that the nerve will have the feeling return soon. Other than those few 'minor' details, she is doing well. She is more awake today, and feeling less nauseated. It was nice to visit with her for awhile today. She is pretty quiet most of the time, and I think she might be a little depressed. Hopefully tonight when the Grandkids came to see her helped lift some of that depression. They love her and have worried so much, and are constantly asking me why I am crying, and then they remember Grandma is sick. She hugged all of them tonight, and JT even gave her a 'fishy kiss'. I'll update again, when I hear more...thanks for all the well wishes!

Tell the kids to be good...
Yesterday my Mom had brain surgery to remove what they thought was a cyst, but is really a tumor. It looked like what is called a minengioma which is usually a benign tumor. She went into surgery at 3:50 and we were told that she would be a couple of hours. The Neurosurgeon came to speak with us at around 8:35. Unfortunately it wasn't a minengioma like they thought. Instead, it is thought to be what is called a glioma. We don't know yet if it is very malignant or not...he said that it could very well be on either side of the spectrum. We won't know until Tuesday or Wednesday.
When I finally got to see her in ICU last night around 930 or so, she looked good. A little tired, a little pale, but good. I told her how much we love her, and how much the kids love her. She simply told me to tell them to be good, and that Grandma loves them. We are holding fast to our faith that Heavenly Father knows all, and that he loves us so much. I will keep posting new details as soon as I hear...

Crazy times...
Its been good to be in our new place. The kids love it so much! I was just thinking yesterday about how I just couldn't be happier than this.
Then my Mom called. She has a cyst on her brain and is seeing a neurologist next week. I know that it will be ok, but I can't help but be scared. I love my Mom more than anything in this world. She has always been there for me when no one else was. Always mopping the floor, dressing kids, holding my hand, chauffering me to the hospital, babysitting, laughing, crying, yelling, and being my Mom. I love her so much. My heart is heavy and I cannot stop the tears today. Hopefully I get a grip on my emotions soon, so I can go into public again. haha.
I love you, Mom.

a little reassurance...
Let me just ONCE AGAIN reassure all of the people that we live by that we HAVE LOVED living here with them. I would NEVER say anything bad about the people we've been around for the last 8 years...except for a few people who think they need to spread rumors and lie a lot...those 2 people we will not miss at all...but other than that, EVERYONE has been kind and supportive ALWAYS...

PACKIN up and movin on...
I cannot believe that we have lived at the mortuary for 8 years! It's been good and all except for about the last 3 years when we stuffed another little one in here...and since then, it's been pretty darn cramped. Well, we found a little house out west and we're headin out at the end of the month. I'm excited, nervous and a little bit scared. It will be good for the kids, especially JL who won't have to share a room with her brothers anymore. We are moving down by the neighborhood I grew up in, and there's little kids everywhere! It's a nice area for a little one to grow up!! It's a little nerve wracking because we've never paid rent or a mortgage before, so well...here we go!
I've learned so much from living here. It has been a blessing in our lives, and we'll especially miss the people who have touched our lives in such a positive way. When we moved here, I was a little bit nervous growing up next to a cow field and all...but I think the nicest people in the world must all live in Ogden. Everyone here is so friendly and kind. We will never say a bad word about Ogden when we leave. It has been a blessing to us, and I appreciate all of you!!
It will be hard to leave all of our friends, but we all have facebook, right?! haha!
