Okay so my Mom calls about two months ago and tells us that we're having family pictures and that we're all to wear the clothes my sister picked out for her wedding. So I make sure that all the clothes are clean and in order so I can grab them easily so i'm not so flustered the day of the pictures. (I think that was a run on sentance, oh well.) We get to the park, and JT won't take a picture. He's grouchy...so the only picture we got of him is this one...
Fortunately, JL and JS were kind enough to oblige us with their hammy-ness. (Is that a word? It is now, I just made it up.)
Cute JS
Pretty JL
So then...My parents decided that they just wanted a picture of just their children and them. So the photographer gets us all lined up...smiling...trying to act like we love eachother (we really do...just kidding)...and my husband who thinks he's 12, decides that he's going to moon us. Yes, you read that right...he pulled his pants down right below his cheeks and shows us what the stork saw. To which the photographer shot this picture..
Don't I look like i'm totally apologizing? It was so embarrassing...haha..
I'm just grateful that he wasn't shooting a picture of Steven being arrested for indecent exposure...
You've gotta love husbands and family pictures...

Belle of the ball...no boys allowed

By popular demand, I will blog about JL's little girl party. I was going to do this Sunday night, but never was given the opportunity to...so here it goes...
JL's party on Saturday was a huge success!! We had so many excited little girls that dressed up to come to a 'girl party'. First we read 'Fancy Nancy' to all the little girls (they loved it!!) then we ate our cupcakes and ice cream as part of our tea party. We ate with out pinkies up! They called eachother 'darling' the whole time they ate. Then we went to the living room where we painted all the little girls' nails. They loved that because of the assortment of colors. Then we had our little fashion show. The girls danced to a Beyonce song and twirled and laughed. Then we opened all our presents. It was so much fun. JL is spoiled!!!
Before JL's party, the boys were playing with the balloons. It was so funny to watch them all play. Then we kicked them out, because there were no boys allowed.
JL's cousin's Abbey and Courtney came to the party too! They're older, so we didn't make them dress up. They helped me paint nails, and dish up cupcakes. They were so nice to come help. JL loves them, and she wouldn't have wanted them to miss it. Thanks girls!!!
Hooray for birthday parties and little girls!!!

Wacky Wednesday...

Today we were in a goofy mood, so we decided to get our silly glasses on and play. It was actually quite entertaining. We tried getting JT to wear the glasses, but to our dismay, he continually pulled them off before we could get a picture. Oh well, these were cute too. Really cute.
Yesterday JL had her 6th birthday. She's so cute! We brought cupcakes to all her friends at school. They sang to her and she had a huge smile on her face all day long. She got a new Belle dress and dress up shoes and tiara. She was so excited. She's going to wear them to her birthday party on Saturday. All her little friends are coming in their dress ups. We're going to have a tea party and a fashion show. I'm really excited about it. I love that little girl. She's so much fun. She also got a new book from Steven and I. It's called Fancy Nancy (thanks Monica). She loves this book, and was thrilled when she saw it. She's already read it about 50 times. I love it too, and don't mind reading it to her all day, every day.
JT and JL were dancing with eachother during the afternoon, and I grabbed a snapshot of it, I was so glad, it was too cute. JS hit JL afterward, and I also got a picture of him trying to make it up to her. Poor JL.
I love my kids, they are too funny. Every morning when we drive to school, we go past this blue house. It is perfect. It reminds me of the house on 'Father of the Bride'. JL is in love with it. Every morning she looks to see if there's a sign out on the front lawn, and to her dismay, it's never there. She wants her own room so badly. I wish I could give her one even more so. The kids probably ask me about 5 times every day if we can move. It's getting really tiring. Mostly because I ask myself for a new place about 10 times a day. Oh well, patience is a virtue, eh?
I'm glad that I have a family and that we can be together. At least I get to stay home with those 3 little crazies. I wouldn't want it any other way.

No training wheels, lil Tiger Woods, and Carnivals

My little girl is about to turn 6. She's so excited that she figured out how to ride her bike without training wheels. She's so funny...she's got ATTITUDE. She told me today that I dress like a laundry maid. So I told her that I AM a laundry maid...and a dish washer, chauffer, house maid, janitor, cook, ect. She just looked at me like I was crazy...well, maybe I am. Someone grab a straight jacket.
JT decided lately that he's a golfer. He learned this from his Daddy and older brother. He actually tries to hit the ball. It's so funny when he finally makes contact...he just looks up at me like his whole world just lit up. Sooo funny.
JS got this sword at JL's fund raiser carnival. He brought it home, and my brother in law was here. So JS puts the sword between his legs and says..."Uncle Ben! Look at this bad boy!" We were laughing til I thought I was gonna pee my pants.
I love the things that kids do and say...especially since JS is making up words. He told me today that his schmelk hurts. I asked him what that was, and he pointed to his ankle...I didn't know the medical term for an ankle, but now I do. It's so nice to know.
Also, today my Mother picked a TON of grapes and brought them in her house. Well, she also brought my favorite- spiders into the house. There was this big black one crawling on the ceiling. So JS grabbed his shoe and threw it up, and hit the big black jerk. He fell to the floor and JS stepped on him. Then he took a golf ball and kept hitting it, saying "Mom! I'm breaking his bones!!!" So I made him get a tissue and take the 'for sure dead' spider to the garbage, but not before JT walked by and picked it up. To which I actually DID pee my pants. Needless to say, we won't be going to Grandma's until she's done canning grapes.

1 year, already???

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JT!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
This is amazing to me! How fast time flies. You know it's going to happen, but when it does, it kind of floors me. He had such a good birthday. It was so much fun. I tried to tell him and the other kids that they weren't allowed to have birthdays this year because Momma can't handle them getting older. They begged me for birthdays, so I told them they could have them, as long as they went down in years instead of up. So JL is now turning 4 and JS 2 and JT still 0.
So anyway, JT had a great time playing with all the wrapping paper and boxes. Forget the 50.00 outfit and the fun toys, eh?
We bought JT a little snuggle horse. You know, something quiet and calm. Everyone else decided that anything as loud and obnoxious as possible would do. Now, i'm not complaining, because the reason that they do this is because i've complained in the past. I'm very grateful for the gifts!
I'm so camera happy now that I blog. I told everyone at the party that if they're in the picture, they might end up on my blog! I'm such a dork...oh well. I'm so blog happy that the other night when I was searching my blog for maybe some more comments, I found a comment no...3 comments from Dawn Meehan. I was doing computer cartwheels..I was so excited. Wow! A celebrity like Dawn actually reading my blog? I've hit the top, I thought. So I asked Steven if he would be happy with me about this...and he ROLLED his eyes!!! I couldn't believe it! Then I realized that he hasn't caught the blogging bug yet. So he doesn't understand. Oh well, I was still really excited.
Man, that was a side track! Back to the party...it was a good, good time. All the family that we love were there. It was really nice to be with people that care about our little family. We are so blessed. Life is good, i've got 3 beautiful children that are always asking me really important questions like, "Mom? Can I have a Marshee?" To which I reply, "JS, what's a Marshee?" Joshua- "oh, I dunno but I want one." What, I ask you, would I do without that? Oh! And I have a 'blog-ignorant' husband who doesn't beat me or emotionally abuse me. I love him. I love my little JT man. He's been such a blessing in my life, he adds so much sunshine in a world of clouds and rain, and I don't ever want to be without him.

I wanna talk about me...

I need to tell you first that I bought a case of bottled water last week, and it is now in my car for JS to drink when he's 'fwirsty'. Not that he'll want water now...whatever.
I read Heather's blog thismorning...and she had this cute all about me thing going on, so I thought I would try it, just for fun.
1. What I was doing 10 years ago...I was a junior in High School. My friend Sarah had just been killed in a car accident and I was trying to get away from a jerk that I had started dating. He's now in prison for lots of bad things..30 years to life. It was the hardest/scariest time in my life and I never want to go back to it.
2. What I was doing 5 years ago...JL was just about to have her first birthday. I was working as a teller at a credit union. It was my favorite job ever, and I still miss it. Not as much as I would miss my kids if I went back though.
3. What I was doing 1 year ago...HAHA! I was getting ready to give birth to JT. His birthday is tomorrow! I was so miserable...I couldn't stop vomiting that day. All I could think about was how I had to take JL to preschool the next day..Oh well, that didn't happen- Grandma had to take her. I went into labor 1 year ago today, that was fun...okay not really but it was the last time I would do it, so I savored everything about it.
4. What I did yesterday...Took JL to Kindergarten, went to Dillards to get my clinique bonus, picked JL up from school, had lunch with my Mom, came home to put the kids to bed, watched my cousin's little boy, finished up some work for our Daddy-Daughter date we had for activity days last night. Went to the activity...it was western themed and we had the Dad's sit in a wanted poster while the girls painted moustaches on them...One of the girl's Dad's didn't show, so I got a new face painting...good times. I came home and talked to Cecily on the phone and went to bed...long day.
5. 5 snacks I enjoy...Okay this is a hard one...i'm not a big snack fan, but i'll try. Anything chocolate, nachos, chips and salsa, teddy grahams, apples (covered in caramel)
6. 5 things I would do if I had 100 Million dollars...Pay off our parents debt, buy Steven a new BMW or truck maybe both, Pay for Steven to finish school, live somewhere with 3 bedrooms so JL could have her own, take the whole family to Disneyland/Disneyworld.
7. 5 places I would run away to...anywhere my Mom is, Aunt Debbie's house, Hawaii, Bear Lake, Palisades Reservoir in Idaho.
8. 5 bad habits I have...biting my nails, assuming, Laundry OCD (don't touch my laundry, man.) procrastinating, yelling.
9. 5 things I like doing...BLOGGING, being with my Daddy, watching my kids accomplish the things they love, laundry, dating Steven.
10. 5 TV shows I like... ER, my name is Earl, American Idol, scrubs, The Office
11. 5 things I hate doing...dishes, arguing, driving in the snow, living at the mortuary, thinking about Steven going to Med School.
12. 5 biggest joys...watching my Daddy sleep on the couch, reading books to the kids, listening to JL tell me stories, knowing that families can be together forever, being with Steven.
YAY! Thanks Heather and Wendi for the fun idea! This is a good way to get to know someone, so if you're reading this, you've been tagged and must post on your blog.
GOOD LUCK!
